About This Handcrafted Tea Container
This unique vintage-inspired tea container blends traditional Chinese ceramic craftsmanship with modern practicality, perfect for tea lovers who value both function and aesthetic appeal. Handcrafted with the iconic cracked glaze technique, every canister features one-of-a-kind texture, making it a special addition to your tea collection or home decor.
Premium Materials & Artisan Craft
- Body: High-fired durable ceramic with a striking turquoise-green base and natural brown cracked glaze texture. The glaze gradient deepens to warm dark brown at the base, creating a soft layered visual effect. Ceramic is naturally chemically stable, so it won’t alter the flavor or aroma of your tea.
- Lid: Double-layer rust-resistant metal construction with a tight screw-on outer lid and a snug inner seal lid for maximum airtightness.
Why This Tea Container Stands Out
The cracked glaze technique (开片 kaipian) is a centuries-old traditional Chinese ceramic craft. What was once an accidental firing effect has become a beloved decorative feature, with fine cracks developing slowly over time to create a unique, aged look that celebrates the beauty of imperfection. In Chinese culture, this natural evolving pattern symbolizes growth and one-of-a-kind character, making your tea container truly personal.
Perfect Airtight Storage for Your Tea
Our double-lid design effectively blocks out air, moisture and kitchen odors, keeping your loose leaf tea, green tea, oolong or any specialty tea fresh and aromatic for longer. This is especially important for delicate teas that spoil easily when exposed to humidity.
